8ouncesbroccolini1 bunch, cut into thin pieces

¼cupgrated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet (with a lid) over medium high heat, and add the diced onion, sautéing for 3-5 minutes until onions are slightly translucent. Add sausage and sauté till sausage pieces are lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the orzo and garlic, and cook for another minute or two on medium heat, stirring well.

Stir in the broth, a generous pinch of salt and pepper, and crushed red pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover and cook on low for for about 6-8 minutes till orzo is al dente but still liquidy.
2 cups chicken broth, ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste
Add in the broccolini and recover the pan, cooking till liquid is absorbed and broccolini is tender but not overcooked, about 5-10 minutes more.
8 ounces broccolini
Stir in the parmesan cheese and lemon zest, and adjust salt and red pepper flakes to your personal preference. Serve immediately.
