Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb finely ground, high quality pork sausage
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Add raw ground pork to a medium bowl, preferably metal so that it stays cooler. Add your seasonings and mix till well combined, taking care not to overmix and over-handle the ground sausage too much.
1 lb finely ground, high quality pork sausage, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground sage, ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Form into patties about 2″-2.5″ in diameter, weighing about 2 ounces. With 1 pound of ground pork you should be able to make 7-8 sausage patties. Make sure to gently flatten the raw patties out to about 1″ thick, as they will rise when cooking.
  • Place the raw sausage patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees f for 10-12 minutes, until the internal temperature of each sausage patty reaches 160 degrees f.
  • Remove from the air fryer tray and serve immediately or store in an airtight container to enjoy throughout the week!

Notes

To freeze cooked sausage patties, simply wrap them up in parchment paper and place in a sealable freezer safe bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.
To reheat, remove from the freezer, wrap in a paper towel and place on a microwave safe plate. Heat on medium power for 1 minute, then reheat on high power for another 1-2 minutes till warmed through.
