Cooking Your Brisket

Prepare the brisket by rinsing in cold water and removing any remaining herbs and seasonings.

Stovetop directions

Place the brisket in a large pot, and fill with water to cover the brisket. Add the brining spices as well as about 4 teaspoons of kosher salt.

Cook for 3 hours

Cover pot and reduce to a gentle simmer, and cook homemade corned beef on the stovetop for approximately 3 hours.
