HIgh Protein French Toast

 18 grams of protein per serving


Step 1

Mix all ingredients except bread in a shallow bowl

Step 2

Whisk ingredients well. The Greek yogurt may leave batter with little lumps but that's okay.

Soak each piece of bread in the batter, taking care not to leave it in too long that it becomes soggy

Grease a pan or griddle warmed on medium high, and cook each piece of bread till golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side

Serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt and honey, a sprinkling of powdered sugar or your favorite syrup

Expert Tips

You can swap out the Greek yogurt and use your favorite protein powder in this recipe. It will make this dish dairy free and also add in a bit more protein, but it does change the taste & texture a bit.

Some brands of wheat bread are softer in texture than others. If using a really sturdy bread like Ezekiel’s, make sure to soak it a bit longer than if using a softer bread like dave’s killer bread.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or toaster oven and enjoy.
